This feasibility study and proposal aim to analyze passenger transport services at Entebbe International Airport (EIA), focusing on ground transportation options, customer preferences, and operational improvements. SPE Taxi, in collaboration with Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), will use the findings to optimize the coordination of public and private taxi services, improve passenger experiences, and explore the viability of bus shuttle services between Kampala and EIA
Background and Rationale of the Study: Entebbe International Airport serves as Uganda’s primary air travel hub, handling over 168,000 passengers annually. With increasing passenger traffic, there is a need to streamline transportation services to and from the airport, ensuring both convenience and efficiency. Current transportation options include private vehicles, public taxis, and private taxi operators (e.g., Uber, Bolt).
