Uganda

FIT is working with a number of partners both in the public and private sector to deliver services to farmers and traders. With a database of over 33,000 farmers, the company has created linkage with financial institutions like FINCA, POSTBANK and Centenary Bank. We are working with private sector providers for payment solutions, mobile money, VOTO, True African and Interswitch. These additional services are enabled by the network of 12 FM radios stations, 36 data collectors from markets, 409 Production Information Advisers placed in the villages.

FIT works with development partners and NGOS to deliver sustainable solutions in programmes and projects. We are working with VECO Uganda, GOAL Uganda, ABI Trust and more recently with FORD Foundation, Oxfam, Cordaid, Mercy Corps  to have farmers and traders profiled and supported with various information services.
